About Amberg
Amberg is a charming little Bavarian town surrounded by rivers, rolling hills, and centuries-old churches, all tucked inside a historic stone wall. It’s especially close to Toni’s heart, as he lived here during his time in the military-it truly feels like a second home to him.
The town itself is full of tradition, with a stunning Basilica at the center and lively squares where locals gather. Amberg is also perfectly located for exploring: just an hour from Nuremberg, an hour and a half from Pilsen in the Czech Republic, and only 30 minutes from beautiful Regensburg.
Getting here is easy—you can fly into Frankfurt and hop on a train to Amberg, or arrive through Munich. While we’ve listed a few hotel options on this website, you’ll also find plenty of other lovely places to stay right in town.
Amberg is known for its old-world breweries, cozy restaurants, and inviting cafés along cobblestone streets. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down, soak in the atmosphere, and enjoy every moment.
